Fairy Tale Carriage Pouch PDF pattern

I have finished this beautiful pouch for Emi chan. I took some photos and send to her via Facebook, I am really happy to find how excited she was with this fairy tale pouch.  Emi is such a wonderful friend for me. Throughout our 5 years friendship, she will always write and support me on my works, even during her busiest working days.

2013 is really a busy year for me.  There are so many changes in my life.  I recently moved back from Shanghai to Kuala Lumpur.  Though back to our country, we still find it very difficult to adjust.  Not only that, I also went through a minor operation just few weeks ago.  Though the operation was minor one, I still feel the slight pain from time to time.  BUT I still work on things I love the most ... handmade goods ^v^.

My latest bear pouches, all sold out the moment they were launched yesterday.  Teddy bear pouches are one of children's favorite pouches.  I am going to make pattern and kit for sell this time.

New Sunbonnet Sue Pouch

For my husband (31/8/2011)

It's Merdeka Day (National Day) back home in Malaysia.  If we were there, I guess we must be driving around town, enjoying foods and views for the whole day to celebrate our National Day.

My husband asked me to make a very simple pouch for him to put his small stuff, the request has been pending for one year.  The other day, he showed me his pouch that has a few holes .... I feel so ashamed and decided to make it today.  He was so happy to hear that (feel so sorry .....) 

I think simple pattern suits man better, so I thought of using this pattern below 

The most difficult part is to match the colors and fabrics.  So start working on my jigsaw puzzle

It is just hard to match puzzles like this, there must be a balance in terms of colors and prints.

Time for lunch, I am going to have homemade burger today.

I stitched up the pieces yesterday.  Frankly, I did it quite rush while stitching up the pieces, I made errors half way through.  I really hate to undo the stitches   .  

Finally it's done.....  I really love the colors, unisex color .

Hmm... let see, I think I'm going to stitch up my husband's initial at the back for the pouch.  

Half and hour  later .....  W. H.  hehehe....

I hand quilted the front but for the back, I decided to use machine to quilt stripes line to create nice contrast to the initial above.

Work until 12:00 am, time for bed........ zzzz

Hmmmm. ... almost done.  I think up to this stage, I quite like this design though.

Let me choose my favorite inner fabric, something country...

I finally complete this pouch, oh, I really love the size of it as it's deep, and the bottom is wide.  Actually  I didn't draw up any pattern at all, I just go along with it, just simply work out the size I want.  Not too bad,  (chuckled )..  Take a look

Bet this pouch will allow him to put lots of his gadgets from now on.   See, there's still more room to put in additional things.

Busy morning at the farm purse

Mother hen : " Master said early birds get the best deal, hurry, don't be late for our breakfast".

This pouch is based on this idea, I really love to see chicken running around at the farm, always searching for something to eat, they are so cute !!  When seeing this picture is stitched to my handmade pouch, I just can't express my happy feeling to see the result.

 I decided to try something new for this bag, a 3 D effect window.  The result is absolutely more lifely compared to normal applique window, that is for sure.

Also for the zipper head (I was lucky that I collected a lot of zipper head each time I visit Japan).  The clock really makes the whole scene more meaningful. 

The back of this pouch is purple checked Japanese sakizome fabrics (gingham).  This fabric is one of my favourites too.  Adding a simple touch at the back of the pouch makes the whole thing more colorful instead of plain fabric, also make this pouch more unique compared to other pouches.
