After coming back from Japan, my neck condition was so much better. So long, after I finally managed to move my head without feeling 'electrify' at my fingers and toes. Before that, i tought of giving up already, I really need to thank GOD for sending me a good doctor to cure my problem.
Today, i am going to do basting for my entire project. My husband is traveling to Hong Kong now, I can make use of the entire living room space to spread my project.
First, I need to spread the inner fabric, facing down, as shown below. Then, tape the four sides fabric with masking tape.
After that, place the batting on top of the inner fabric as shown.
Finally, for the next few days, I make sure I eat full meal, make sure I have enough energy, on my mark, kneel down and basting all the way from center to the sides.

As expected, 4 days to complete basing the whole piece, I am really exhausted. And my weight reduced by 2 kg.
Now that I realise it is sunny outside.

I am a guilter myself but i do it only when i m free. As a working lady, i find that i hv less time to spend on my hobby. But i couldn't stop quilting. It has been 15 yrs i've been quilting. I m so impressed with you.
How is it going? I am working on my first quilt and I realised that I taped mine down too. I haven't really used instructions so I am happy I did this part the same as you by instinct. I look forward to seeing the finished quilt.
Hello Metanoia.
Nice to hear from you again :) Am still struggling to complete the quilting. I am glad you like the idea of taping the inner fabric for it really helped a lot while working on big projects.
In fact, I am now back to my home land for holidays :) I completed a bag which was an order from my sister's friend. I posted some of my works in flickr. Currently I am worry that I cannot access to blogspot if I am in China again, so I will publish my work in flickr (thank GOD I can still access flickr in China). Here is my link

Feel free to check out my work (^V^)
